I always love to hear from my readers about their stories and experiences with living happy and healthy lives with PCOS. Check out the submission below to read about Ashlyn’s success in growing her family and getting in the best health of her life.
I just wanted to take the time to share my success story to fighting PCOS. When I was 19 years old, I was diagnosed with PCOS. I gained 50lbs within a 3 month period and my menstrual cycle was always abnormal. It wasn’t until I didn’t have a period for a year that I went and got tested. Once I was told it would take a miracle for me to get pregnant and fertility shots. I knew once I found my significant other that I would have to be prepared for the worse when it came to wanting a child.
In November 2013, I became pregnant with my first child. I then miscarried that child 5 weeks later. My body terminated the pregnancy. Sucks I was super excited about becoming a mom. 9 months later, I became pregnant with my son, whom is now 9 months old. I am also expecting again this May smile emoticon. So my secret to becoming pregnant without any treatments. I worked out like crazy and ate a low carb diet. I avoided salt all together and I never was a “pop”drinker so water was my best friend.
My best friend I met here in AZ we worked out 7 days a week for about a 1 year or more. I took up yoga to help relieve me from stressful days at work. I lost a total of 26 lbs within 4 months. I told several women my secret and now two of them are expecting their first child as well. My pregnancy have both been healthy which to me is a blessing.
My son is the greatest gift I have ever received. I pray that many of you who are trying to conceive be blessed with this same experience. Being a mother is the best thing ever. I wish you all the best of luck. I’m here if you have any questions as well.
Shouts out to Ashlyn for taking control of her body and life, her story is amazing. Ashlyn and I actually met in college and I had no idea that she was a Cyster until she started posting about her journey on Facebook. Thanks again, Ashlyn for sharing your story with us.
